From Fishing Village to Global Tech Hub

从一个默默无闻的小渔村到全球科技中心

Shenzhen rose from a humble fishing town into a global technology hub — and visiting heads of state all make time for Huawei, BYD, Tencent and Hytera, the companies that put this city on the map. That innovation engine now fuels a new kind of tourism.

Huaqiangbei, China's No. 1 electronics street, has become a hotspot for tech travelers, boosted by the 144-hour visa-free transit policy and a surge in international flights. On YouTube, #ChinaTravel videos rank Shenzhen the fourth most popular city, drawing visitors with world-class transport, high-tech experiences and seamless mobile payments.
